Make your cakes with whole foods.  Our crust is macadamias that we ground ourselves with pure cocao powder and butter. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use boxed anything.  This goes for all the food you consume, but especially desserts.  Even if they say paleo/keto/low carb.  The general rule is, if it’s in a box, how is it staying good without spoiling?  Headbanger’s Kitchen had these chocolate espresso tarts, but since we were cooking for five last night we decided to make it a pie in a springform pan.  Lara killed it! It was delicious!  Espresso, Mascarpone, stevia sweetened chocolate ganash, macadamia crust.  All hand-crushed, mixed and made.  I think it’s worth mentioning that we had a salad, asparagus, pork chops and cauli mash for our proper dinner.  A very healthy meal, if I do say so myself.  Couple your pie, with a wholesome meal.  Eat birthday cake!

Eating birthday cake brings me back to my childhood!  In that spirit, here’s a song that makes my parents cringe from having heard it sooooooooooo many times that we broke the tape.
